As you explore The Levee you’ll find pops of art dotted throughout the precinct.

The New One mural at Bourke St Link is hard to miss, with one wall featuring a large scale painting by Patricia Van Lubeck. Sit back and take in the space, catch up with a friend or grab that instagram worthy shot.

Further along the Riverside Walk, High Street connects with the iconic Hunter River with The Riverlink. Here you will find the Clouds Gathering Sculpture, designed and created by Newcastle sculptor Braddon Snape.

This exquisite artwork was inspired by the Levee’s location, next to the Hunter River.  As you pass through you can see metallic clouds perched high on the wall and roof, which symbolises The Levee’s relationship and history with the water.

The Levee also hosts a range of art galleries and art displays all year round, with spaces such as NAB Laneway and Coffin Lane playing host to fun and interesting pop up art and performances.

If you fancy at attempting your own piece of art, Pinot and Picasso is Australia’s number one paint and sip experience, this creative space gives you the support and means to let your inner Picasso shine. There’s also a range of kids art activities held at various times throughout the year.
