Important information about free Santa Photos at The Levee | Friday 20 and Saturday 21 December
This year we have had a significant increase in the number of families attending our free Santa Photos at The Levee, which has caused excessive wait times and unfortunately more people not being called back to have their photo taken. We will be looking into how we can better manage the high number of people next year.
For our final two sessions we are expecting even greater attendance and recommend anyone who comes to these sessions be prepared for the following:
- Some families are choosing to arrive over an hour before the session starts. Once our staff arrive at 8.30am, around 30 minutes prior to our start time of 9am, they will organise early birds into a line and add them manually to the digital queue.
- Once our session starts at 9am, our team will provide a poster with a QR code to people in the line who were not signed up manually. This will be passed from person to person in the order of their arrival. Once your name is on the list you can enjoy the precinct until you get a text from us to return to The Riverlink to join the physical queue (approx 5 minutes before your session time). Please note that even people who are arriving before our session times are having to then wait between one and two hours before they receive their text message to come back.
- Families arriving after 9.00am can still join the queue by scanning the QR code after speaking with our team leader David who will advise on potential wait times.
We understand that this is a busy time for everyone and we are thrilled that so many people are choosing us for their Santa photo this year. We appreciate your patience and are doing our best to get as many people a free Santa photo as possible.
The precinct also has other free Santa photo options at Maitland Central and Pender Place. Please check out their websites for further details.
